Abstract

Objective To understand the resources and the distribution of the poisonous wild fruits in Hainan Province and provide basis for making measures in preventing and controlling occurrence of serious food poisoning accidents.Methods The data concern- ing wild fruits in this province were collected through literature retrieval and field surveys and differentiated by experts.Results There were plenty of poisonous wild fruit in Hainan,most of them are Euphorbiaeeae,Solanaceae,Papilionaceae,and Rutaceae,so on.There were 76 species in 68 Genera 37 families of common-seen poisonous wild fruits.The distribution of the poisonous wild fruits varied and mostly distributed in the cities and counties Sanya,Qiongzhong,Wenehang and Baoting.There the high,intermediate and low poisonous wild fruits occupied about 11.8%,9.2% and 79.0%.Conclusion It is helpful to master the kinds and the distri- bution of the poisonous wild fruits for preventing food poisonings,protecting and reasonably exploiting poisonous resources.
