Abstract

Objective : To observe the treatment effect of acute retinal necrosis syndrome(ARNS). Method:The clinical data of 17 eyes with 12 patients of acute retinal necrosis syndrome , included clinical representation and examination (fundus fluorescence angiography and electroretinogram) and the course of treatment were analyzed. Results: Six eyes of 4 patients were performed preventive laser photocoagulation.Three months, the vision became 0.8( 1 eye ), 0.6( 1 eye),0.4( 2 eyes ), 0.3( 1 eyes ),1 eye was aggravated and refused treatment;4 eyes of 4 patients were performed preventive vitreoretinal surgery. Six months later, the vision became 0.6( 1 eye),0.4( 1 eye ),0.3( 2 eyes); Six eyes of 5 patients were done vitrectomy, endolaser and scleral buckling, and silicon oil was used as retinal tamponade. All the patients were followed up 3~6 months after extraction of silicon oil ,the vision became 0.15(1 eye),0.06(1 eye),CF/50cm(2 eyes),HM(1 eye),LP(1 eye). Conclusion: ARNS is an intraocular infectious disease that injures vision seriously. Early diagnosis and treatment of antivirus are the keys for improving it′s prognosis. Retinal photocoagulation and vitreoretinal surgery get a chance for treatment of antivirus, they are more important for the patients to get a helpful vision.
