Expression and clinical significance of p53,C-erbB-2,VEGF-C and nm23 in breast cancer

Abstract
[Objective] To study the expression and clinical significance of p53,C-erbB-2,VEGF-C and nm23 in breast cancer.[Methods] The expression of p53,C-erbB-2,VEGF-C and nm23 were examined in 100 cases of breast cancer and adjacent normal breast tissue without chemotherapy by using SP immunohistochemical technique.[Results] In 100 cases of breast cancer and adjacent normal breast tissue,the positive rate of p53,C-erbB-2,VEGF-C and nm23 were 86.0% and 30.0%,76.7% and 25.0%,80.0% and 20.0%,30.0% and 90.0%,respectively.There were significant difference in the positive rates of p53 and C-erbB-2 in different lymphatic metastasis,clinical stages and histological grade(P0.05);The expression of VEGF-C was significantly related with lymphatic metastasis,tumor sizes and histological grade(P0.05);It showed significant correlations of the positive rate of nm23 in lymphatic metastasis(P0.05).[Conclusion] The expression of p53,C-erbB-2,VEGF-C and nm23 were positively related to the metastasis and prognosis of breast cancer,the combined detection of p53,C-erbB-2,VEGF-C and nm23 is valuable to predicting prognosis and guiding therapy of breast cancer.
