Study on Influencing Factors on Germicidal Effect of Electrolyzed Oxidizing Disinfectant with Spores of Bacillus Subtilis

Objective To explore the influential factors such as contact time,concentration,temperature,organic matter and pH value on germicidal of electrolyzed oxidizing disinfectant(EOD)in laboratory with spores of bacillus subtilis var niger as the test organism. Methods Quantitative germicidal experiments were carried by carrier test.Results The results indicated that the D value(20℃)of EOD for kill spores of bacillus subtilis var niger was 11.642,the concentration coefficient(n)was 1.235,when the pH value of the disinfectant solution7,it was decreased the germicidal efficacy,addition 25% calf serum into the spores of bacillus subtilis var.niger suspension to the carrier,the germicidal efficacy was decreased.Conclusion The EOD is a rapid-acting disinfectant,but changes of concentration,temperature,pH value and some additional organic matter have some influenced on its germicidal efficacy.
