Analysis of narcotic analgesics in our hospital during 2012 – 2014

Abstract
Objective: To investigate the utilization of narcotic analgesics in our hospital, in order to provide reference for clinical rational application of narcotic analgesics. Methods: By HIS system, the consumption sum, the total amount and DDDs of narcotic analgesics were retrospectively analyzed from 2012 to 2014 in our hospital. Results: The consumption of narcotic analgesics increased year by year. The consumption of oxycodone hydrochloride sustained-release tablet(10 mg) increased by 251.33% which was higher than that of any other drugs in 2014. The top three DDDs were that of fentanyl transdermal patches(4.2 mg), morphine sulfate sustained-release tablets(30 mg) and oxycodone hydrochloride sustained-release tablets(40 mg). Conclusion: The application of narcotic analgesics is basically rational in our hospital.
