Abstract

OBJECTIVE:To investigate the status quo and tendency of utilization of narcotic analgesics in our hospital during 2009-2011 to provide reference for clinical rational use and management of narcotic analgesics.METHODS:The clinical use of narcotic analgesics in our hospital during 2009-2011 was analyzed statistically in respect of drug types, consumption amount, consumption sum and prescription amount etc by using DDDs as index.RESULTS:Both the consumption amount and consumption sum of narcotic analgesics in our hospital increased year by year.Ranked by DDDs,fentanyl citrate for injection, morphine hydrochloride for injection and morphine sulfate sustained release tablets dominated the top three places. In clinical use, morphine sulfate sustained release tablets, fentanyl transdermal patches and oxycodone hydrochloride controlled-release tablets were mainly used for patients with cancer pain, and fentanyl citrate for injection and remifentanil hydrochloride for injection were mainly used for surgical patients.CONCLUSION:The use of narcotic analgesics in our hospital was basically rational and up to the related standard in our country.
