Abstract
The integration of the ethnic identity and the national identity in a multi-ethnic state is closely related to its ethnic unity and national unification as well as its ethnic and national prosperity.Ethnic identity is not simply cultural identity while national identity is not simply political identity because the former includes the pursuit of political interests of a given ethnic community and the latter comprises the original cultural and historical relations and connections within the members of a given ethic group or among different groups.Because the ethnic identity and the national identity are closely related,it is beneficial to promote their favorable interaction for realizing our national unity and prosperity.
