Mao Zedong maintained that poems should have national flavor.The concept flavor is closely related to the implications of the categories of vigor of style in ancient papers on literature.It refers to the artistic characteristics with aesthetic appeal which are showed by using such external artistic forms as language forms and means of artistic expression to express the inner feelings of the poets,or rather,the strong artistic appeal brought about by the peculiar flavor of poetry.The poems of Mao Zedong are full of national flavor,so they are popular with readers both home and abroad.They have the everlasting artistic charm.
