Mao Zedong as a Poet and Chinese New Poetry

Abstract

Mao Zedong and his poems and Ci are an artistic treasure-house, which exerted great influences on Chinese new poetry. It is pointed out in this paper that Mao Zedong and his poems and Ci bridge the gap between the old and the young,that Mao′s poems are an example of closeness to life, and provide colorful and lively artistic experiences in the aspect of artistic creating law and that Mao Zedong made an experiment in new poetry nationalization and popularization.
