Abstract
Objectives To investigate APL cell proliferation inhibition and differcntiation induced by cinnamic acid. Methods In vitro,NB 4 cells as incubated and with CINN, the cell growth was tested by 3 (4,5 dimethy thiazol 2 yl) 2,5 diphenyl tetrazdium bromide (MTT) and trypan blue stain assay. The cell differentiation was observed by cytomorphology ,nitroblue tetrazolium (NBT) test. The cell cycle and CDlla, CDllb antigens, cell cycle were analysed by flow cytometry . Results In short period NB 4 cells were induced to morphologically and functionally more differentiated cells.Cell growth curve showed that growth of NB 4 cells were inhibited. NBT reduction was rearkedly increased and expression of CD1la and CDllb was also increased with significant statistical differences between the treated and control groups( P 0.01). Flow cytometry analysis showed that CINN arrested NB 4 cell in S phase and the number of cells in s phase was nedrkedly increased Conclusion CINN can induce differentiation and growth inhibition of NB 4 cells.
