The clinical experience of trabeculectomy combined with the releasable suture of scleral flap of glancama

Objective:To evaluate the clinical effect of trabeculectomy combined with the releasable suture of scleral flap of glaucoma.Mehtod:36 eyes suffering from primary angle-closure glaucoma were operated by trabeculectomy combined with the releasable suture of glaucoma.Results:Far Vision of 3 eyes increased and that of 28 eyes did not change while that of 5 eyes diminished after operation,compared with before operation.The anterior chambers of 36 eyes were immediately formed after operation.The anterior chambers of 5 eyes were shallow and the ones of 31 eyes were normally deep.The intraocular pressure(IOP)of 6 eyes was over 15mmHg early after operation;The IOP of 30 eyes was 6-14mmHg.The unilateral releasable sutures of scleral flap of 6 eyes were respectively removed the first day and the third day after operation while the bilateral ones of 30 eyes were done meanwhile.Conclusion:Compared with the reports of simply trabeculectomy,the trabeculectomy combined with the releasable suture of scleral flap had less complications and better effect.
