Abstract
[Objective]To investigate the effect of renal sugar granules on expression of TGF - β1 of renal tissue in STZ - induced diabetic nephropathy rats, and further explore the mechanism of action of renal sugar granules on the renal protection in STZ - induced Diabetic Nephropathy Rats.[Methods] Fed with high fat diet and STZ produced by intraperitoneal injection in rats with diabetic nephropathy.Rats were randomly divided into five groups:normal control group, model control group,Chinese medicine group (Renal sugar granule group),western medicine group (Lotensin group) and Chinese and western medicine group (Renal sugar granule and Lotensin group).Rats were determined after treatment fasting blood glucose.Leave all rats's urine before the end of the experiment. And the 24h urinary protein, urinary albumin, urinary and α1-microglobulin were determined. The expression of TGF - β1 of renal tissue in STZ - induced diabetic nephropathy rats was measured with immunohistochemical method.[Results] After treatment for eight weeks with renal sugar granule, the general situation in rats compared with the model rats were improved better;and the weight also gain significantly.Fasting blood glucose,24h urinary protein, urinary albumin and urinary α1 - microglobulinin in the treatment groups were significantly lower than the model group (P respectively 0.05);and TGF -β1 of Renal Tissue in the model rats showed high expression, respectively significantly higher than every treatment groups (P respectively 0.05).[Conclusion] The possible mechanism of the renal protective effect of renal sugar granules on STZ - induced diabetic nephropathy rats was the inhibited expression of TGF - β1 in renal tissue in rats.
