Abstract
Objective: To study the chemical constituents of the chloroform portion of Ailanthus altissima.Method: The chloroform portion were isolated and pured by silica gel column chromatography,HP-20 and Sephadex LH-20.Their chemical structures were elucidated by spectral data(1H-NMR,13C-NMR).Result:Five compounds were isolated from the chloroform portion.They were identified as stigmast-4-en-3-one(Ⅰ),stigmast-4,6,8(14),22-tetra-en-3-one(Ⅱ),5,6,7,8-tetramethoxycoumarin(Ⅲ),ocotillone(Ⅳ),20-hydroxy-dammara-24-en-one(Ⅴ).Conclusion:Compounds Ⅰ,Ⅱ,Ⅲ and Ⅴ were isolated from this plant for the first time.
