Abstract
Objective To explore the clinical effect of repaglinide combined metformin hydrochloride in treatment of patients with type 2 diabetes. Methods A total of 130 cases of newly diagnosed type 2 diabetic patients were collected in our hospital and were divided into two groups according to different treatment methods, each of 65 cases, they were given repaglinide monotherapy, metformin repaglinide combination therapy on the basis of diabetes education, diet and exercise therapy, respectively. The clinical effect of two groups were compared. Results The fasting blood glucose, 2 h postprandial blood glucose, glycosylated hemoglobin, triglyceride and cholesterol levels of the control group and the observation group after treatment were lower than before treatment, but the difference in the observation group before and after treatment were significant(P0.05). Fasting blood glucose ratio, incidence of adverse reactions in the observation group were significantly higher than that of control group, postprandial 2 h blood glucose ratio and the average amount of repaglinide were significantly lower than that of the control group, the difference was statistically significant(P0.05). Conclusion In type 2 diabetic patients with repaglinide and metformin combination therapy enables effective control of blood glucose, postprandial 2 h repaglinide monotherapy on glycemic control is more effective than combination therapy.
