Abstract
Combined with practical work, the limit equilibrium method and strength reduction FEM of pseudo-static method are applied to analyzing the stability of slope under earthquake, and the calculating principle and yield criterion etc.of this method are discussed. On the basis of obtaining the safety factors of slope by using the limit equilibrium method and strength reduction FEM,the safety stability of slope is evaluated. And the safety factors obtained by the both methods are compared. The results show that the pseudo-static method is available in earthquake stability analysis of slope.
