Abstract
The flourish of the narrative poetry is closely related with the fiction in Tang Dynasty. This essay proceeds together with three angles: the phenomenon of using the same title between a narrative poem and a story, between a narrative poem and its preface, poet's double positions as a poet and a novelist, a social atmosphere for enjoying story. This paper believes that the prosperity of the fiction promoted the story of the narrative poetry and the skill that it used to describe in Tang Dynasty.
