Abstract

The halogen-free intumescent-flame retardant polyspirocyclic pentaerythritol bisphosphorate disphosphoryl amine was synthesized through condensation polymerization of spirocyclic pentaerythritol bisphosphorate disphosphoryl chloride with diethylenetriamine. And the spirocyclic pentaerythritol bisphosphorate disphosphoryl chloride was synthesized by reaction of pentaerythritol and phosphorus oxychloride. The chemical structure and thermal property of polyspirocyclic pentaerythritol bisphosphorate disphosphoryl amine was characterized by IR and TG.And the flame retardant efficiency was investigated. The results indicated that the flame retardant efficiency of the blend of polyspirocyclic pentaerythritol bisphosphorate disphosphoryl amine and silane-crosslinked polyethylene would be the best when the flame retardant compound increased to 25%.
