Abstract
Circular economy is one of the main streams of the global society since 90's of 20th century. It is gained more and more attention of the countries all over the world and is put into practice as the bridge for sustainable development. The essential differences between circular economy and traditional economic development model, the occurrence and development history of circular economy and its practice in different countries are reviewed and discussed.
