Abstract
The bibliographic format of The Tale of H an Ying's Collection of Poetry is considerably unique. Each chapter cit es from The Book of Poetry as its thesis statement and compose s the content of the chapter with such wellorganized interpretative materials as remarks, stories, eloquent opinions and noble deeds of former generations bas ed in the key word on the citation from The Book of Poetry or the extended meaning of the line from The Book of Poetry. The sequence of the chapters in nearly all volumes is organized by the order of the complete passages in The Book of Poetry from which citations a re made. In this sense, a n exposure of this style of bibliographic format is of great significance to a p rop er understanding of the meaning of interpreting The Book of Poetry as does t his book and clues of historical addition and deletion of this boo k.
