The Research into the Comments on the Qing Poetry Collected and Edited by Qing Scholars

The poetry collection is not only the collection of works,but also has its function as literary criticism,which is presented in the objective demonstration of relative scopes,quantity proportions,and the style when the poems were selected,and in the subjective comments in prefaces,postscripts,principles of selecting poems,highlightings,annotations and other relevant writings as well.The highlightings and annotations are the most critical parts.The comment of poetry collection is the direct dialogue and communication among selectors,authors,and readers,which reflects the critical function of poetry collection.As the comprehensive form of poetry collections,Qing poetry collection,collected and edited by scholars in the Qing Dynasty,has highlightings and annotations in general,and critical remarks on poetry.The Qing Scholars usually wrote critical remarks on the poems selected and edited in the collection to share their reading experience and theoretical thoughts.Meanwhile,when they collected and edited poems,they also collected many readers' comments.That many readers participating in commenting on poets and poems,therefore,is a special feature of Qing poetry collection.All in all,Qing poetry collection is important document and research focused on the study of Qing poetics.
