Abstract
Objective:To evaluate the effect of Metoprolol on heart rate variability(HRV)of pa- tients with angina pectoris in coronary heart disease(CHD)by Hoher electrocardiogram.Meth- ods:One hundred and twenty patients with angina pectoris in CHD and frequent arrhythmia were randomly divided into control group(n=62)and Metoprolol group(n=58).HRV in Twenty four hours of patients was measured by Hoher electrocardiogram and evaluoted before and after medica- tion. Results:HRV was significantly increased in both groups after treatment(P0.01).The difference of HRV between the both groups after treatment was significant(P0.01).Conclu- sion:Metoprolol could significantly improve HRV of patients with angina pectoris in CHD.
