Research on agricultural water supply price for water-receiving area in Jiangsu Province during the first stage of the Eastern Route of the South-to-North Water Transfer Project

This article briefly explains the necessity of establishing the agricultural water supply price for the water-receiving area in Jiangsu Province during the first stage of the Eastern Route of the South-to-North Water Transfer Project,and analyzes the principles and basis to establish the agricultural water supply price.Then five agricultural water supply price schemes are presented,including the one based on water supply cost,the one based on the farmers′ bearing capability,the one in which the provincial financial authorities pay for the main-line water supply cost while the corresponding city government and farmers pay for the water supply cost inside the irrigation area,the one based on the two-part water price,and the one based on the current water price.After comprehensive analysis and comparison of the five schemes,the scheme is recommended based on the one in which the provincial financial authorities pay for the main-line water supply cost while the corresponding city government and farmers pay for the water supply cost inside the irrigation area around the year of 2010.
