Analysis of agricultural water price in China

An analysis is made of the current agricultural water price, the bearing capacity of farmers, feasibility of adjustment of agricultural water price, the present situation of water fee collection, management and uses, and some existing problems. It is concluded that the reform of agricultural water price in China should emphasize the precise and reasonable determination of the cost of water supply and water price, improvement of measuring facilities, implementation of contractbased water supply, and establishment of water user societies in the country.
