Abstract
This article calculates the ecological footprint and the ecological carrying capacity of Wuhan between 2002 and 2007 base on the ecological footprint model.The result shows that the per capita ecological footprint has the tendency of unceasing growth,is far greater than the per capita ecological capacity,the resources expense has surpassed the resources reproductive property seriously.In other words,Wuhan's development is not at the sustainable situation.In view of the current situation,we propose some suggestions to realize Wuhan's sustainable development,including developing the circular economy,ajusting the industry struction,and changing the opinion of the people consumption.
