The Change of Morphology of Personal Pronouns in Huanggang Dialect

Abstract

In Huanggang dialect,the personal pronouns 我(I) , 你(you) and 他(he) may be pronounced as enter-tone or non-enter-tone,and each of the pronounciations stands for different grammatical meaning.This indicates that there are probably the grammatical categories as number and case in the Huanggang dialect. Maybe the special phenomenon results from a kind of bringing forth new ideas.
