A CLINICAL OBSERVATION ON THE TREATMENT OF CHILDREN WITH DIARRHEA IN AUTUMN BY TRADITIONAL CHINESE MEDICINE COMBINED WITH WESTERN MEDICINE

Abstract

Objective To observe the curative effect of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM) combined with western medicine for children suffering from diarrhea in autumn. Methods Of 109 cases in this study, they were randomly divided into control group (54 cases) and treated group(55 cases). All the children were treated with routine method, while TCM treatment was added in the treated group. Results Cure rate in the treated group was markedly higher than that of the control group (~2 =5.844, (P)0.05), and the time for symptomatic relief, course of disease, the time for checking diarrhea in treated group were shorter ((t=)11.806-13.584,P0.01). Conclusion The therapy of combining traditional Chinese and western medicine has a definite curative effect for children with diarrhea in autumn.
