Observation of the effect of TCM Xiaodaoyin in infantile diarrhea

Objective To observe the clinical effect of the traditional Chinese medicine(TCM) Xiaodaoyin in the treatment of infantile diarrhea.Methods 350 cases of diarrhea were randomly divided into two groups, including the observation group and the control group.The observation group was given Xiao-Dao-Yin treatment,in addition to the routine clinical treatment as the control group.After 72 hours,the curative effects of each group were determined.Results The effective rate of cases in the observation group was 61.7% superior to that of the control group(46.3%),and this difference was statistically significant(P0.01).The total effective rate of the observation group was 96.6% superior to that of the control group(89.7%),and the difference was statistically significant(P0.05).Conclusion The traditional Chinese medicine Xiaodaoyin can improve the curative effect in infantile diarrhea,which can be promoted in clinical application as an integrated remedy of traditional Chinese and Western medicine.
