Application of HDD to Offshore Pipeline Project

Abstract

Horizontal Directional Drilling(HDD) has been successfully applied to Waidiao-Cezi offshore pipeline project.This paper introduces the difficulty encountered in a long distance crossing project with complicated geological conditions.Some new methods have been used to solve the difficulty.And there are some breakthroughs in HDD technology.All these may be very helpful to other HDD crossing projects.
