Abstract

By pursuing the theory that man is an integral part of nature and the leaning of human heart,Neo-Confucianism of the Song and Ming dynasties established the new Confucianism which was different from the original Confucianism or Jingxue in the Han and Tang dynasties.This developed the Philosophy of Confucianism and fully illustrated the ideals of Chinese philosophy.This thesis tries to discuss the ideals of saints and sages,especially to discuss how to become a saint or a sage by Neo-Confucianism of the Song and Ming dynasties in order to expose the state of their life.
