Abstract

Objective To study the correlation of coronary artery stenosis with plasma levels of B-type natriuretic peptide(BNP)and high-sensitive C-reactive protein(hs-CRP)in the patients with coronary atherosclerotic heart disease.Method 163 patients with coronary heart disease diagnosed by coronary arteriography were divided into three groups:stable angina pectoris(SAP)group of 79 cases, unstable angina pectoris(UAP)group of 43 cases and acute myocardial infarction(AMI)group of 41 cases.Among the three groups, the number of impaired coronary arteries, left main coronary stenosis,Gensini scoring of coronary stenosis and plasma levels of BNP and hs-CRP were compared respectively.Result There were significant differences in the number of impaired coronary arteries and left main coronary stenosis among the three groups(P0.01).Compared with the patients in UAP and AMI group, there were also significant differences in Gensini scoring, plasma levels of BNP and hs-CRP in the patients of SAP group(P0.01).There was a significant difference in hs-CRP level(P0.05),but there was no significant difference in BNP level and Gensini scoring(P0.05)between the UAP and AMI group patients. Conclusion Plasma levels of BNP and hs-CRP correlates with coronary artery stenosis in patients with coronary heart disease. Both of them are important clinical parameters to reflect the severity of myocardial necrosis.
