Abstract

Based on many years' field survey and access to a large number of documents, the author carried out statistics on wild higher vascular plants distributed on the middle part of the northern slope of the Kunlun Mountains. There are 62 families,313 genera and 925 species of higher vascular plants in this area. The analysis shows that the number of plant species is relatively poor but with the relatively rich diversity; among the higher vascular plants, angiosperm species dominate;there is an abundance of alpine cushion plants;the flora is typical of temperate properties;there are few endemic genera and species;the flora, which has certain relationship with the flora of other continents, has more interactions with the flora in the Mediterranean,Central Asian and Western Asian areas.
