Expression of Mitogen Activated Protein Kinase p38 and Urokinase-type Plasminogen Activator in Ovarian Cancer

Objective To investigate the expression and correlation of p38 and uPA in ovarian cancer tissue.Methods 60 cases of epithele ovarian cancer,30 cases of ovarian benign neoplasm of ovary and 30 cases of normal ovarian tissue were chosen.Methods of immunohistochemistry were adopted to detect the different expressions of p38 and uPA in the above tissue.Results The positive staining rate of p38 and uPA in ovarian carcinoma,benign neoplasm of ovary and normal tissue were 75 %,36.7%,26.7% and 68.3%,40%,30%.Groups of ovarian cancer compared with the group of ovarian benign neoplasm and that of normal ovarian tissue,the distinction was significant(P 0.05).The distinction between ovarian benign neoplasm and normal ovarian tissue is not significant(P 0.05).Both expressions had positive correlation with ovarian cancer tissue clinical stage,histological grade and lymph metastasis(P 0.05),and the correlation was enhanced with clinical stages,differentiation reduction and lymph metastasis(P 0.05).The expression of p38 and uPA was among the significant positive correlation(r=0.827,P 0.05).Conclusion p38 and uPA might be associated with the biological behaviors of ovarian cancer,and the united detection of the two contributes to the early diagnosis of ovarian cancer prognosis estimate.
