Zhu Guangqian and Zong Baihua:Two Encountering Aestheticians

With comparative analysis of Zhu Guangqian's and Zong Baihua's aesthetic contributions,argue that Zhu is set on setting a system of life aesthetics with a psychological approach to the differentiation between life and art and through finding the ways art works upon life;while Zong's is a system of art aesthetics with a philosophical approach to the necessity of the artisticization of life and features of art.Compared with modern western critical aesthetics,Zhu's and Zong's aesthetics share the emphasis on artistic life,personal cultivation,or a nature and universe awareness,showing the conservative aspect of Chinese Culture.
