Abstract

Artistic conception,as a modern term,is the combination of Chinese and Western aestheticism.Theories of Zhu Guangqian and Zong Baihua embody important constituents from European aesthetics and form two paradigms of modern Chinese aesthetics.As two different orientations in Chinese aestheticism,Zhu Guangqian's theory regards aestheticism as the aim,and Zong Baihua's theory is inherently unified with aestheticism.
