Abstract
Objective To improve the recognization of fetal limb deformities in ultrasonography, and to discover the postnatal ultrasonographic features and display planes of fetal limb deformations. Methods Thirty limb deformities of fetal specimens were immersed in water bath and then scanned ultrasonographically using a systematic continuous sequence approach. Results Most of fetal limb deformations can be displayed clearly in order to some sequence and methods, and various characteristic ultrasonographic features of fetal limb deformations were found. Conclusions Most fetal limb deformations can be displayed clearly on two-dimensional ultrasound imaging by using a systematic continuous sequence approach.
