The clinical efficacy sertraline treatment of depression after stroke associated

Objective To evaluate the antidepressant Sertraline in patients with depression after stroke treatment,and the rehabilitation of neurological function,provide the basis for clinical treatment.Methods 36 stroke patients were randomly divided into two groups according to the order of admission,all patients received conventional treatment of stroke,including dehydration,reduced intracranial pressure,control blood pressure,coagulation,blood circulation and correcting water and electrolyte metabolism at the same time to prevent complications.The treatment group were also given on the basis of treatment Sertraline 50 mg,once abay,continuous treatment for 1 month.Results Two Hamilton Depression Rating Scale(HAMD)and neurological deficit scoring(modified Edinburgh-Scandinavian Stroke Scale MESSS)rates were 88%,84%and 52%,56%,the efficiency of the two groups there were significant differences(P0.01).Conclusion Sertraline may improve post-stroke depression secondary to the situation,that can be used for stroke sertraline treatment.
