Abstract

Brushless DC motor torque ripple is an important factor to limit the scope of brushless DC motor applications.As the square wave drive has bigger electromagnetic torque,simple control,and sine wave drive has torque ripple small advantages,a kind of new control strategy,starting with square-wave current control until the motor reaches stable,and dynamic switching to sine wave current drive in a controlled manner,was proposed.The simulation results show that this control method can achieve fast starting with small torque ripple.
