Observation of efficacy and safety of proprofol in gastroscopy

Abstract

Objective To investigate the safety,efficacy,and the adverse reactions of sedation and anesthesia with intraveneous propofol under no pain gastroscopy.Methods Gastroscopy was preformed in 140 patients of the anesthesia group with intraveneous propofol and in 120 patients of the controlled group with traditional methods.The changes of blood pressure,heart rate,and blood oxygen saturation were recorded and analyzed.Patiens' satisfaction and reaction and waking time in the anesthesia group were compared with those of the controlled group.Results The degree of discomfort in the anesthesia troup was significantly lower than those of the controlled group(P0.05).The recovery time of the anesthesia group was(2.4±1.6) min.The blood pressure and heart rate were decreased in the anesthesia group during the gastroscopic procedure and recovered after gastroscopy.But the blood pressure and heart rate increased in the controlled group.The blood pressure,heart rate,and blood oxygen saturation before the procedure and after the procedure in both groups had no significant difference in statistics.Conclusion Propofol in the operation of gastroscopy is safe and effective.
