Abstract
The performance of 10 turfgrasses under shading treatment was observed and the result indicated that the order of shade-tolerant performance was Poa annuaAgrostisFestuca arundinaceaLolium perenneCynodon dactylonTrifolium repens. And then,6 commonly used turfgrasses were used to evaluate the ornamental performance as indoor turf according to their morphological features, the chlorophyll content was assayed as well. The order was F.arundinacea(Barlexas),P.pratensis,(Euromyth)L.perenne(Pinnacle)Zoysia sinica(Hance),C.dactylon(Common)T.repens(Haifa).The shade tolerance of Euromyth, Barlexas and Pinnacle was better and the ornamental quality was significantly different from others.
