Abstract

The benzo(a)pyrene was extracted from animal and vegetable fats and oils by liquid phase extraction according to GB/T 24893-2010 Animal and vegetable fats and oils-Determination of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons, which was purified by solid phase extraction of neutral alumina column, and determined by reverse-phase high performance liquid chromatography-fluorescence method. The results indicated that the average recovery rate for vegetable fats and oils was 91.44%,and that for animal fats and oils was 91.69%.The relative standard deviation was 1.48%(n=7)for the determination results of tea seed oil. This revised method was simple and easy to operate, had good precision and high rate of recoveries. Thus the revised method was fit for determination of benzo(a)pyrene content in animal and vegetable fats and oils.
