Abstract

There are 21 amphibian species in Kunning,Yunnan,belonging to 12 genera,8 families and 2 orders.) Amphibian faunal specifications of zoogeography are as below: 1 Number of amphibian species is more abundant than that in Liaoning,Jilin,Heilongjiang,Qinghai,Hebei,Henan,Jiangsu,Ningxia and Shanxi provinces,China. 2 Oriental element is dominant.There are 20 species,occupying 95.24%. 3 Species of Southwest China Region are dominant.There are 16 species,occupying 80 0% of oriental species.There are no species of South China Region and Central China Region.Species of Central China,South China are less in number,only 4 species. 4 The endemic species are more.There are 2 endemic species to Kumming region,occupying 9.52% of total species.They are also endemic species to Yunnan.There are 12 endemic species to China,occupying 57.14%. 5 The species of type locality in Kunming region are more.There are 7 species,occupying 33.33% of total species. In this paper,conservation of amphibians is also discussed.
