Abstract
Investigations of the amphibians in Laojunshan Nature Reserve,Henan Province,were carried out from August 2005 to October 2008.The results indicate that there are 8 species belonging to 8 genera,6 families,and 2 orders in the nature reserve.Among these species,there are 4 cosmopolitan species,3 Oriental realm species and 1 Palaearctic realm species.Andrias davidianus is a rare and endangered species,Pelophylax nigromaculatus and Feirana taihangnicus are dominant species,and Pseudohynobius tsinpaensis and Scutiger ningshanensis are new records in Henan Province,discovered in Funiu Mountains.Countermeasures and suggestions were put forward for protecting biodiversity.
