Abstract
At the edge of Guixi basin, the fault that controlled the forming of the basin become more active in the late period of Early Cretaceous. At the different edge and the center of the basin ,it develops different sedimentary system . The study of lithofacies characteristic of outcrop and profile shows that Luotang group in Guixi basin develops alluvial fan, fan-delta, braided-river delta, lacustrine and braided-river sedimentary system. The fault, at the edge of the basin , controls the sedimentary system feature. In different evolutionary stage of the basin ,it develops different sedimentary system, and combined by different lithofacies. Sedimentary system feature, distribution and combination show that the narrow distribution facies and abrupt changes in facies in lateral direction and long direction in faulted basin.
