CT Examination of Massive Hepatocellular Carcinoma after Hepatic Arterial Chemoembolization
CT Diagnosis
Abstract
CT Diagnosis
Abstract
According to the difference in quantity and distribution of lipiodol in carcinoma on CT images,143 cases of massive hepatocellular carcinoma after hepatic chemoembolization were divided into compact, defective, diffuse and scarce types, and the mechanism of their manifesfations and clinical significance were analyzed. The results demonstrated that the quantity of lipiodol inside the carcinoma of compact type was the highest, suggesting the highest pharmaceutic density in carcinoma, the best embolic and therapeutic effect. After chemoembolization,CT examination was the first choice of all methods for judging therapeutic effect, evaluating prognosis and dynamic follow up survey. The CT manifestations of lipiodol in carcinoma may serve as an important reference for doctors to work out the measures of further treatment.
