Abstract
Objective:To evaluate transcatheter hepatic arterial lipiodol embolization for CT diagnosis and treatment of primary hepatic carcinoma(PHC).Methods:Conventional and enhanced CT of 32 patients with PHC were analyzed and the CT images before and after lipiodol embolization were compared,as well as those treated for three to four weeks and treated for eight to ten months. Results:After lipiodol embolization of all cases, fifteen more tumor locations were revealed, and the size of tumor was obviously reduced after eight to ten months, some small lesions disappeared completely. Conclusions:Lipiodol embolization is an effective method for CT diagnosis and treatment of PHC.
