Abstract
In order to ensure the safe use of the adjacent buildings during subway construction, based on comprehensively considering the current status of building application, the corresponding norms of the building and structural characteristics, structure safety analysis was made on the adjacent buildings by displacement back analysis and finite element method, and accordingly the deformation control indexes for adjacent buildings were determined. The building safety analysis of the two adjacent masonry buildings before the construction of the subway station accessory structures was carried through.Analyses show that, the upper structure and foundation slab can meet the requirements for normal use when differential settlement is less than 10 mm.Based on the current status that two buildings already have 6.59 and 7.01 mm differential settlement respectively, the control values for the allowable newly increased differential settlement are respectively given as 3 and 2 mm along the largest existing dip directions.According to this standard, the building structures are safe and in good condition after the construction of the accessory structures, which has validated the rationality of the pre-construction safety analysis method.
