Relationship between serum IL-6,TNF-α and CAS in CHD with MS patients

Objective:To investigate the relationship between IL-6,TNF-α and the coronary artery score(CAS) in coronary heart disease(CHD) with metabolic syndrome(MS) patients. Method:Seventy-three CHD patients were divided into 2 groups,experimental group included 37 cases who were CHD with MS,control group contained 36 cases of CHD without MS.All patients were underwent CAG and calculated CAS.We measured IL-6 and TNF-α in upper serum obtained after centrifugation. Result:①Compared with control group,IL-6,TNF-α in experimental group significantly elevated(P0.01).②Multivariate regression analysis showed that the circumference of buttock,fasting blood glucose,IL-6 and TNF-α were significantly related to CAS(partial regression coefficient were 0.187,0.119;P=0.01,0.01). Conclusion:IL-6 and TNF-α significantly increase in CHD patients with MS.IL-6,TNF-α level are significantly positively correlate to CAS,suggesting that these 2 inflammatory markers closely relate to severity of CHD.
