Abstract
Objective To evaluate the efficacy and safety of reduced glutathione in the treatment of midrange and severity chronic hepatitis B. Methods 120 patients with midrange and severity chronic hepatitis B were randomly divided into the treatment group and control group. In the treatment group, patients were intravenous injected with glutathione 1800 mg qd; in the control group, patients were intravenous injected with potassium magnesium aspartate 30ml qd. The period of treatment was 4 weeks. Results In the treatment group, the effective rate of fatigne and anorexia were 88.3% and 85%, which were significantly higher than that in the control group (P0.05). ALT,AST and TBil were lower in the treatment group (P0.05). The increase of albumin after treatment was more significant in the treatment group than in the control group (P0.05). Severe adverse drug reactions of both groups were not discovered. Conclusion Reduced glutathione can improve the symptom and the liver function index, its adverse effect is rare and light.
