Abstract
Objective To investigate the correlation between quantitative HBV DNA,serum ALT level and liver lesions of chronic hepatitis B(CHB).Methods Serum HBV-DNA contents from 300 CHB patients were determined by fluorescence quantitative polymerase chain reaction and serum ALT detection by biochemical analyzer. The inflammatory activities and fiberization were graded and staged by liver histopathology. The results were analyzed with statistical software. Results There was a significant correlation between serum HBV-DNA contents and inflammatory grading of liver tissues in CHB,while no obvious correlation was found between serum HBV-DNA level and the fibrosis stage. The results showed a better consistency between serum HBV-DNA quantification(103~106) and ALT levels. Conclusions Serum HBV-DNA and ALT levels can better evaluate liver inflammatory activities, but inadequate to liver fibrosis.
