Abstract

The application of an electronically controlled common rail fuel injection system on diesel engine was introduced. The matching of the diesel engine with electronically controlled common rail fuel injection system was experimented. The effects of fuel common rail pressure, fuel injection timing and engine speed, load on diesel engine performance were studied. The results show that appropriate fuel common rail pressure and fuel injection timing in different case may reduce the fuel consumption, the maximum pressure, and the emission. The overall diesel engine performance can satisfy the multiple performance requirements.
